LESSON ONE BASIC CONCEPTS OF ELECTRICITY

Overview:

Rural electrification is the process of bringing electrical power to rural and remote areas. Electricity is used not only for lighting and household purposes, but it also allows for mechanization of many farming operations, such as threshing, milking, heating and hoisting grain for storage. Electricity in the rural or in the farm can increase output per worker, improved quality of product, reduce risk, add convenience, and save time and labor.

This lesson explains some basic concepts in order to have a full grasp of electricity and electrification and will acquaint you with some common forms of direct current and alternating current.

Three. use Ohm's law in solving the resistance, current, potential difference, and power in an electric circuit; and
