Camping with Courtney
Camping with Courtney
In the fall, we'd be at college together, sharing an apartment. Beyond that, the future was wide open. Our entire lives lay in front of us. Whether they would stay entwined as one after we graduated, neither of us could say, but we both hoped that we'd continue the family tradition of summer camping trips. I was feeling strangely sentimental about them all of a sudden. Courtney was probably getting off on the idea of almost getting caught by our parents. Thankfully, she did agree that she would need a tent of her own - a pocket of plausible deniability that was easier to sneak out of on her way to her real tent, which would also be mine. For that - for me -- she was willing to give up the luxuries of the camper. If that isn't true love, I don't know what is.
