"In radiotherapy, our goal is simple: give enough dose to control the tumor while protecting normal tissue. We have already made major advances with IMRT, IGRT, adaptive radiotherapy and proton therapy. But some tumors remain difficult to treat, and normal-tissue tolerance can limit further dose escalation. So we need new approaches - and FLASH is one of them."
