CITIZENSHIP TRAINING
OVERVIEW
OVERVIEW
This module on Citizenship Training explores the meaning of citizenship and the civic duties of every Filipino as grounded in the nineteen eighty-seven Philippine Constitution. It covers the Bill of Rights, human rights, and the Good Citizenship Values (Maka-Diyos, Maka-tao, Makakalikasan, and Makabansa) that guide national identity and social responsibility. Students will also examine Filipino values such as hospitality, compassion, and resilience, alongside modern expressions of nationalism and patriotism.
In addition, the module highlights the importance of voter education, respect for national symbols under the Flag and Heraldic Code, and active democratic engagement. By integrating constitutional awareness with cultural values, learners are encouraged to practice responsible citizenship, protect human dignity, participate in governance, and contribute to the development of a just and humane society.
