Chromosome. When cell is about to divide then genetic material gets condensed in rod like structure called chromosome. Chromosome occurs in pairs. Human body calls contain twenty-three pairs of chromosome. Eighty-eight eighty-eight eighty-eight. Human sex cell (sperm or ovum) contains twenty-three chromosomes.

Genetic material on genes is responsible to transfer characters from parents to offspring, progeny, new borns. Genetic material can be DNA, genes, chromosomes or chromatin.
Young ones resemble in these features to their parents. Young ones inherit traits, features, characters from their parents. This transfer of features is called heredity or inheritance.
Species. A group of individuals which closely resembles with each other and can reproduce viable young ones is called species of human species, dogs, cows. Within a species fertile line a slight difference between individuals. This is called variation.
It is producing young ones like them by preexisting species is called reproduction. Reproduction is responsible for continuation of life of species on earth. For example, cow gives birth to calf.
