State of agriculture in the world

. Total land area in the world: one hundred fifty million square kilometers.

○ One percent or one point five million square kilometers is for permanent crops

○ Ten percent or fifteen million square kilometers is considered arable land

○ Twenty-four percent or thirty-six million square kilometers is for meadows and pastures

○ Thirty-one percent or forty-six point five million square kilometers are forests and woodlands

○ Thirty-four percent or fifty-one million square kilometers supports little to no vegetation
