Research - a process of systematic inquiry that entails:
- collection of data - "information used as a basis for reasoning, discussion, or calculation."
- documentation of critical information
- analysis and interpretation of that data or information following suitable methodologies set by specific professional fields and academic principles.
- conducted to evaluate the validity of a hypothesis or interpretive framework
- example: Action research, thesis, dissertation, and case study
