• Bony orbit is formed from the mesenchyme that encircles the optic vesicle beginning as early as the six-week of embryonic stage.

• Each orbit is formed by seven bones, namely: Frontal, ethmoid, lacrimal, palatine, maxilla, zygomatic and sphenoid.
