- Clinical: Creatinine greater than one point five; Cardiac arrhythmias; Seizure
Occurring three days before or seven days after chemotherapy
- Chemotherapy after rapidly growing lymphoproliferative malignancies (e.g., Burkitt's lymphoma or ALL)
- Triggered by direct tumular injury and luminal obstruction by uric acid and calcium phosphate crystals
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS:

- Prerenal azothemia (hypovolemia, NSAIDS etc)
- Rhabdomyolysis
- Hemolysis
- Multiple myeloma
- Chemotherapy-associated thrombotic microangiopathy
