Number not provided.--- In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section one of Section eighty-four and other relevant sections of the Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India Act, twenty twenty-five and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, and in supersession of the Atomic Energy (Working of Mines, Minerals and Handling of Prescribed Substance) Rules, nineteen eighty-four, the Atomic Energy (Safe Disposal of Radioactive Wastes) Rules, nineteen eighty-seven, the Atomic Energy (Radiation Protection) Rules, two thousand four, the Atomic Energy (Radiation Processing of Food and Allied Products) Rules, twenty twelve, the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Rules, twenty eleven and the Nuclear Liability Fund Rules, twenty fifteen except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:-

CHAPTER-I

PRELIMINARY

One. Short title and commencement: (one) These rules may be called The Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India (SHANTI) Rules, twenty twenty-six.

(two) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
