REGULATORY FRAMEWORK FOR BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS (RFBT) CPALE Concept Notes
LABOR LAW
o Time wherein employee is required to be on duty o Time wherein employee is to be at a prescribed workplace (whether or not on duty)
o Time wherein employee is suffered or permitted to work, regardless of place (work from home set-ups)
o Rest periods of short duration, not exceeding twenty minutes (coffee breaks)
Excludes:
Mandatory meal periods of at least sixty minutes
NIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL PAY: Minimum of ten percent of Basis
NIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL PAY: Minimum of ten percent of Basis
. For work done between ten P M to six A M, regardless if part of the employee's regular shift
. Basis (Both Adjusted as to any Premium Pay subject to): o Regular Hourly Wage if within the normal (eight) hours of work o Overtime Hourly Wage if beyond the normal hours of work
